Barry Lewis is the Chief Executive Officer of United States Transit Funding, Inc.
Since 2009, he has been working with the transportation and transit industry throughout all 10 Federal Transit Administration regions for both private, for-profit corporations as well as with public transit organizations.
During this time, he has led the effort in raising, manage and administer tens of millions of dollars as well as develop pro-growth strategies for entrepreneurs and business owners seeking operating, marketing, or physical equipment funding.
He has worked within the Internet Technology as well as the non-profit sector where he launched three separate technology start-ups, and including the development of computer-based, language translation and grammar technologies, as well as an Internet Protocol technology solution in order to listen to your favorite radio station on your cell phone in 2002, in part to receive Emergency Broadcasting System information following 9/11 and long before the invention of iPhones.
From 2002 to 2008, he worked with dozens of Boston-area non-profit organizations that provide a multitude of services including: homelessness services, veterans’ services, after-school programs for at-risk and underserved children, developmentally-disabled adults, and community-based social and health organizations.
Originally from Swansea, Massachusetts, he is the proud father of two children, Hannah and Cameron.
A tireless worker who is devoted to his craft, he is readily available at anytime to speak and work through any idea or troubleshoot an issue with a client. Personally, he also works tirelessly on his golf game and enjoys every waking moment that he has with his family.
As a part of the enjoyment that he had in working with non-profit organizations, he is a staunch supporter of a number of charitable initiatives, including the New England Center for Homeless Veterans, the Jimmy Fund, and charitable initiatives supported by the Phi Gamma Pi Alumni Association.
Please feel free to contact him by phone or at email@example.com or by phone.
